A lot of artist I know spend the colder seasons in a warm studio coming up with new material to record and release the following year. I’ve typically have done the same for the past couple years with the recordings I’ve already released. It’s not only a good time to gander new inspirations but also… it’s freakin’ cold out there dude!

I’ve seen a song come from nowhere, any time of the year. Usually, I sit in front of my Garageband program at home and play a scratch track during that time of inspiration and wait until this time of the year to start making something out of them. I have enough inspirations for another EP. When is your favorite time of the year to record?

Is there a certain time of the day that you song-write? Mine is during lunch.

If you are looking at a clock on a wall at a gig you’ll often have to add minutes because for some reason bar owners push time forward 10-minutes. The best way to tell time is to wear a watch. If you are a righty wear the watch on your left hand so it’s on the inside of your wrist and lefties on right hand.

This way when you are strumming the six (or twelve) you’ll always have a clear reference.
