Setting Plans for Next Album
Things are really coming together for my next album’s concept. I’ve decided to record a live album at unique locations around Central Oregon. The working title of the album is “Off the Grid Gig.” The reason I’m naming it that is I plan on powering this production off-the-grid with generators, solar power, wind power or what ever isn’t connected to the power lines. One of the coolest things since I’ve last written about this is my introduction to Google Music.
Over the weekend I signed up for it, paying the $25 one-time fee. Basically, the service allows me to sell my music pretty easily on the web. They have an e-commerce set up that sends me a check after someone buys a track. It’s all integrated with YouTube and Android Market. So I’d like to record each song and also video tape it. I’m going to send off the song for mastering and edit the video, sync it up and release it as I go. It’s looking like YouTube will sync up with Google Music and allow me to distribute the songs.
I’m working on equalizing the levels from all the inputs I use. Here is a look and listen to my latest session. I’m thinking that the vocals need to be punched up a bit.
So, It’s kind of going to be a video/music blog. I think I’m going to give away the music for free for a while, drawing from my inspirations of bootlegs I gathered in the late 90′s. All in all this is going to be a refreshing project. I hope you enjoy the music.
